A new 280-room family friendly hotel is set to be built in the Titanic Quarter.
The proposal for the hotel at Hamilton Dock means that visitors to Belfast are just 10 minutes’ walk from the main retail district.
Included in the plans are 100 family rooms aimed at meeting growing demand from visitors to attractions such as Titanic Belfast, W5 and the SSE Arena, WeAreVeritgo, SS Nomadic and HMS Caroline
Developer JMK Group is behind the plans.
The new 280 room hotel, designed by RMI Architects, will open in the summer of 2021, and although a brand has not yet been confirmed, JMK Group’s current brands include Hampton by Hilton, Seraphine and Holiday Inn operating across both the UK and Ireland. This Titanic Quarter site will be its first investment in Northern Ireland.
A spokesperson for JMK Group said this project is about making a strategic investment in Belfast’s tourism sector.

JMK group already has a presence in Dublin and Waterford as well as experience in the London hotel market.
More than 20,000 are in the Titanic Quarter daily. It has become Europe’s largest waterfront development attracting over one million visitors every year.
Belfast-based planning consultants Turley said tourism figures had helped attract JMK’s investment.
