Norwegian Air will end flights between Ireland and the USA next month.
The budget airline said these routes are no longer commercially viable.
The routes operating from Dublin, Cork and Shannon to the US and Canada are expected to end on September 15.
Norwegian Air has blamed the grounding of the Boeing 737 Max.
Boeing’s 737 Max fleet was grounded after two crashes which killed 346 people.
A Lion Air flight crashed near Jakarta last year, and an Ethiopian Airlines flight came down shortly after take off from Addis Ababa back in March.
It is among many of airlines globally which have been affected by the grounding of the Boeing 737 MAX fleet, following the two fatal crashes.
Norwegian last year stopped its transatlantic flights from Edinburgh and Belfast.
it had hoped to use aircraft such as the 737 Max and Boeing’s Dreamliner to carry passengers to lesser-known destinations in the USA from regional airports around Europe.
