The total number of those affected by the coronavirus is approaching 100,000.

An elderly person with underlying health issues has become the first person to die of the coronavirus in the UK. The patient was admitted to hospital in Berkshire.
In a statement, the trust said: “Sadly, we can confirm that an older patient with underlying health conditions has died.
“The patient has previously been in and out of hospital for non-coronavirus reasons, but on this occasion was admitted and last night tested positive for coronavirus.
“The family has been informed and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.”
Italy has closed all of its schools for at least 10 days.
The death toll in the country has risen to 148.
Iran has also closed its schools and universities until early April with the death toll surpassing 100.
The UK government meanwhile says it is preparing for a ‘significant’ spread of COVID-19.
The Paris Marathon has been postponed according to French media.
According to Le Parisien, the race, which was due to take place on 5 April, could be held in the autumn.
Almost 70,000 runners were registered.
And a trial in Manhattan meanwhile was interrupted when the judge told lawyers and spectators that a member of the jury had been contacted by health authorities about possible exposure to the coronavirus.
