Opening then closing again – here’s what you can and can’t do

Restaurants and hair salons will reopen following a period of COVID-19 restrictions.

However, they will close again after news emerged last night of a two-week ‘circuit-break from 27 November.

People should work from home where possible.

Non-essential retail will close along with close-contact services, restaurants, and churches. Weddings and funerals are permitted.

Schools will remain open however.

Household gatherings outside of support bubbles are discouraged.

Hotels can be run on a restricted basis, such as for work-related travel.
