Crowds of youths have been making their way into North Belfast this evening (Saturday), according to police.
And they have issued warnings to parents, pointing out that they are risking their children’s safety.
Police say they are out patrolling the various parks – Bone Hills, Woodvale Park, Girdwood Hub and the streets surrounding these parks.
“Police have their roof mounted camera land rovers out tonight and will be in these parks.
“For the parents who are dropping their kids off to these parks, please have a good look at what you are doing. You are risking yours kids’ safety and showing your lack of responsibility to your kids, yourself and to this community,” said a police spokesperson.
Police say this only refers to a minority of parents and that they would like to put on record their thanks to the responsible parents and the community workers within the area.
