PSNI Chief Constable Simon Byrne says he is ‘confident’ the data mistakenly published last week is in the hands of dissident republicans.
The police chief said the PSNI is working on supporting all officers and staff affected.
The data includes the surname and initial of thousands of employees, as well as the rank, where they are based and the unit in which they work.
