Pet Sematary the movie is coming soon to the cinema, and it will dig up the Stephen King classic.
It’s guaranteed to give you the chills – tragedy has already befallen Louis Creed and his family, who live near a boundary between the living and the dead — not just the dangerous road running alongside their house, but also the ancient burial ground in their backyard.
The Irish Times said in its four-star review that it is a superior retelling of ‘Stephen King’s scariest book.’
And King himself has said without hesitation that it is his most disturbing.
But the big question is whose job was it to muck up the cats to make them look as if they had been dug up? Eight Main Coons were used and according to Entertainment Weekly.
“But these cats, they were able to train them and every cat had a different specialty. There was the cat that could hiss, the cat that could jump, the cat that could stare… They were like this pack of divas on set. You know, the cat would get on set and have to get acclimated, so all the actors would have to shut up and just kind of let the cat sniff everything for like ten minutes. So, we just sat there, and watched the cat,” said filmmaker Dennis Widmyer.
