The Entertainer which has a branch in Belfast will be allowing its staff a three day break over the Christmas and Boxing Day weekend.
The toy chain’s 171 stores will close on Christmas Eve and won’t re-open until Monday, December 28.
Marks & Spencer, Pets at Home and Wickes have also announced Boxing Day closures.
And all of Home Bargains’ stores will be closed on Boxing Day. The company has also said that stores will close at the earlier time of 5pm on Christmas Eve.
