Two men, one of whom was armed with a hammer, threatened staff at an off licence in north Belfast before escaping with cash.
Detectives are investigating the robbery which happened on the Oldpark Road on Monday (23 September) night just before 10pm.
The two men entered the off licence, and one of the men held the door open.
The second man approached the counter and threatened staff members with a hammer. A sum of money was handed over and the men then left, making off on foot along the Oldpark Road, in the direction of Ballysillan.
The man who remained at the door had his face covered and was described as being around 5ft 7” tall, of slim build and he was wearing dark tracksuit bottoms.
The man who approached the counter was not wearing a mask and is believed to be around 6ft tall, of heavy build, with a scar on his right cheek. He was wearing a black baseball cap and a navy hooded top and was armed with a yellow hammer. None of the staff members were injured as a result of the incident.
Detective Inspector Kerry Brennan is appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident or saw men matching the descriptions given, to contact detectives at Musgrave on 101 quoting reference number 2186 23/09/19.
