Waitrose has apologised after customers accused the chain of being racist by creating a trio of ducks and labelling the dark chocolate one ‘ugly’.
They have been removed from its shelves after the complaints.
The white chocolate duck was labelled ‘fluffy’, the milk chocolate ‘crispy’ and the dark chocolate ‘ugly.’
Waitrose has now redesigned the packaging, with the names of the ducklings removed.
A Waitrose spokesperson said: “We are very sorry for any upset caused by the name of this product, it was absolutely not our intention to cause any offence.
“We removed the product from sale several weeks ago while we changed the labelling and our ducklings are now back on sale.”
Some customers took to Twitter to share a picture of the Easter eggs, saying the ducklings were racist.

I think this is all rather silly. There are better things to worry about than a chocolate duck called Ugly…. Give me strength. BTW I am totally opposed to any form of racism but this is going too far ?
