Customers who pre-ordered Sony’s PlayStation 5 from Amazon have received bizarre products including a coffee machines, foot massager, rice, a George Foreman grill and cat food.
Journalist Bex April May took to Twitter to inform users that her PlayStation order had been marked as “missed” by Amazon but replaced with an air fryer.

Delivery was fake ‘missed’ at midday with a ‘we couldn’t deliver’ message (with no attempt at delivery made). Now looks like it was siphoned off then before reappearing this evening, replaced with an air fryer inside, she tweeted.

In a statement responding to the complaints, a spokesperson for Amazon said it was investigating what had happened and urged anyone affected to contact its customer-service team.
