There could be a shortage of Cadbury 99 Flakes following a rise in the number of people wanting on-demand ice cream cones.
The Flakes are half the size of the bars sold in supermarkets.
A spokesperson from Cadbury owner Mondalez confirmed to media that there has been an “increase in demand” for the bar, but assured people Flakes are still available to order.
The rise in demand could mean the chocolate bars may be harder to get hold of this summer just as temperatures are starting to rise.
The news prompted a number of people on Twitter to come up with new topping ideas.
The ice cream van is a familiar sight at beaches and at coastal beauty spots.
Only the UK and Ireland are thought to be affected by this shortage.
