A coffee shop in Leeds has created 100 limited edition vegan donuts for charity, topped with an image of Piers Morgan.
Temple Coffee & Doughnuts created the donuts after the journalist criticised Gregg’s and its decision to make a vegan sausage roll.
In an Instagram post, the shop stated: “So, we all know this moron has kicked up a fuss about vegan sausage rolls and somehow managed to make front page news with it. We don’t know about you, but we find it very sad that crying about sausage rolls takes the focus off the real tragedies that are happening in the world.”
Piers Morgan made headlines when he tweeted: “Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns,” in response to Gregs’ decision. It attracted criticism and Morgan’s comments caused a backlash among the vegan population.
The Leeds coffee shop’s donuts were sold in aid of Unicef and only 100 were made.
A user responded to the Instagram post stating: ‘Real men eat vegan donuts,’ while another poster stated: ‘What a snowflake.’
