Netflix has a few new shows coming up including films, documentaries, comedies and some highly popular original series.
One of the most hotly anticipated releases is season 6 of Orange Is The New Black. This comes on screen on July 27.
It’ll be quite different, as only two writers from season five were re-hired for season 6.
The episode count has not been publicised by Netflix. However, fans should expect at least 13 episodes which has been the norm for the previous seasons.
Viewers have been left in the dark over what direction the plot will take, but they can expect the story to follow the inmates in the new prison or various institutions they have been transferred to following the three-day riot in season 5.
Season 6 has been billed as ‘To The Max’ which could suggest inmates have been transferred to maximum security facilities.
America’s Got Talent is back, while Suits makes another appearance which will be widely welcomed by fans of the series.
The main cast is as follows – Gabriel Macht plays Harvey Specter; Katherine Heigl plays Samantha Wheeler; Rick Hoffman plays Louis Litt and Sarah Rafferty plays Donna Roberta. Meghan Markle and Patrick J. Adams left the show at the finale of season seven.
And there’s good news for fans of German series Dark. Season 2 has begun production, and to celebrate, Netflix has revealed what fans can expect from the opening scene of the time-travelling thriller.
The new season will only have eight episodes, and is expected to introduce new characters, along with more shifts in time.
The first season followed four families in the town of Winden, as they probed the disappearance of several children.
The finale of season 1 left viewers with more questions than answers, so season two may address some of these.
A glimpse of the first page of the script reveals it’ll open in 1921 along with a new time period of 2020.
Some questions fans hope to have answered include why Michael killed himself – and why he’s always soaked in goo when Jonas sees him. And, viewers also want to know what Father Noah is up to.
