Many children will love the Three Billy Goats Gruff who head off on their adventure to find some lovely green grass. They trip-trapped here they trip-trapped there until they could see a hill full of grass. To get to the grassy hill they have to cross a bridge, but the bridge is home to the meanest Troll in all the land. Will they be able to get pass the Troll or will the Troll Gobble them all up? The Carrickfergus Hospice Walk takes place this Saturday (April 6) and it’s kindly supported by Maud’s Ice Creams. Mauds Ice Creams will also be supplying ice cream to each person who completes the Hospice Walk. It begins at Carrickfergus Castle at 10am and finishes at the Windrose Restaurant – it’s a 7 mile walk. If you can’t make it to this walk, you can plan your own ‘Do It Yourself Walk?’ Simply choose a date you are free and walk your favourite route. All that’s left to do is ask friends, family or colleagues to support you by making a donation.
There are other walks around Northern Ireland on other dates. Also on Saturday is the Colin Glen Forest Park walk – 6 or 3 miles). It begins at 11am. It starts and finishes at the visitor centre, in Colin Glen Forest Park. You can join the little walkers on the Colin Glen Gruffalo Trail. Pick up your little walkers Gruffalo pack and enjoy seeing your favourite characters come to life with fascinating sculptures plotted along with the trail.

Fairport Convention with guests: The 4 of Us will be on stage on Thursday 23 May at The Market Place, in Armagh, and on Sunday 26 May at The Lyric Theatre, in Belfast.
Fairport Convention has been making great music for over fifty years. Credited with originating British folk-rock music, the band has been through many changes, but the current members retain a passion for live performance.
This year’s tour will feature a mix of long-established Fairport favourites and newer material from their most recent studio album 50:50@50 celebrating their Golden anniversary.

American singer Jesse Malin is coming to the Limelight in Belfast on Saturday, June 22. He will be performing ‘The Fine Art Of Self Destruction’. For anyone who is not familiar with Jesse, he began developing his punk-rock music in the early ’80s, eventually founding D Generation in 1991. Once he went solo a decade later, he reinvented himself as a New Yorker singing rock ‘n’ roll, heavily influenced by Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen.

Ghost The Musical is on at the Grand Opera House from April 9 to 13. The movie is one of cinema’s biggest all-time hits. Starring the late Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg it was the highest grossing film of 1990 and won an Oscar. The movie and the musical feature The Righteous Brothers’ Unchained Melody alongside many more terrific songs co-written by Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart.
