Bushmills® Irish Whiskey will continue its #BlackBushStories event series by collaborating with creative woodworker, Éamonn O’Sullivan. The collaboration will see Éamonn join Bushmills to host a series of whiskey and woodcarving workshops in Belfast this summer. Black Bush Carved’ will bring together Irish whiskey and creative woodworking and the event takes place in Belfast on 30 and 31 July at The Cow Bay.
Guests will experience a whiskey tasting led by the Bushmills Brand Ambassador, before hearing Éamonn’s story on how he forged a career in woodwork. Guests will then have the chance to try their hand at woodcarving their own whiskey accessory to take home. Specially created Black Bush drinks will also be served throughout the event.
Inspired by the supreme craftsmanship, passion and care that goes into creating Bushmills Irish Whiskey, #BlackBushStories celebrates those who challenge traditional thinking in their fields and live outside the box.
The collaboration forms part of the immersive event series which tells the stories of independent, spirited and extraordinary talent across Ireland and aims to inspire others to follow their own passions, whatever they may be.

After a sell-out run last summer the smash-hit musical Paperboy is back at the Lyric from August 1 to 4.
It’s 1975 and 12-year-old Tony goes about his paper round in Belfast in the 1970s. There are bombings on the evening news, but Paperboy is more interested in Doctor Who, the Bay City Rollers and outer space.
Paperboy is a heart-warming, coming-of-age, new musical drama that bubbles with humour; set against the backdrop of 1970s Belfast on the Upper Shankill Road. Based on the much-loved memoir by Irish writer and peace builder Tony Macaulay, and adapted for musical stage, with music from platinum-selling Belfast artist Duke Special and writing by stand-up comedian Andrew Doyle.

At the Burnavon in Cookstown it’s the annual July Celebrations Concert. It takes place on Saturday (6 Jul) at 8pm.
The evening will showcase local musical talent including Tamlaghtmore Silver Band, Highland Pipers and local members of the County Armagh Drum Majors. The Lyttle Family from Co.Armagh will also be performing.

Casey’s Creatures will be at the Hill of The O’Neill in Dungannon on Sunday (7 July) from 2pm to 3pm. Come along and visit a range of animals including a meerkat, snake, skunk, hedgehog, owl, giant frog, armadillo and a raccoon dog. Pet and hold interesting and unusual animals while learning all about them at this interactive show. It’s a lot of fun and all proceeds go towards the care of the animals at the sanctuary.

The award winning Milwaukee Youth Symphony orchestra will be at the Ulster Hall on July 16. It’s comprised of musicians ages 14-18 and has achieved an enviable international reputation for excellence, competing in several international renowned festivals and competitions.

US rock band Black Stone Cherry will headline a show at the Ulster Hall on July 18.
Black Stone Cherry has released six studio albums as well as three EPs, and have charted eight singles on the US Rock charts. Their latest album, Family Tree, was released last year.
The Kentucky-based rock n’ roll quartet is influenced by Cream, Led Zeppelin, Muddy Waters, and the Faces. The southern rockers have shared the stage with Def Leppard, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bad Company, Mötorhead, and ZZ Top.

General Fiasco will be at the Empire in Belfast on Saturday, August 10. They are an indie rock group from Bellaghy. Since their formation in 2006, they have toured with Little Comets, Fighting With Wire, The Wombats, The Enemy, Jet and Kids in Glass Houses.
A demo in the summer of 2008 landed them a spot on the BBC Introducing Stage at the Reading and Leeds festival. The band started to be played by Zane Lowe, Steve Lamacq, Colin Murray, and Rigsy on Across The Line.
On Wednesday 6 June 2012 General Fiasco headlined a free concert to celebrate the Olympic torch relay’s stop that day in Belfast, after having passed through Northern Ireland and Dublin. In 2013 they took a break and during the hiatus, the band played a few gigs with Duke Special.
