Would you freeze a McDonald’s burger and eat it for breakfast?

A thrifty man has confessed that he buys $1 McDonald’s burgers before freezing them and eating them for breakfast.

The Australian man posted his hack in a Facebook group, and claimed that it was a safe means of getting a convenient breakfast the next day.

‘So when McDonald’s have their hamburger for $1 specials, I load up and freeze them and microwave them for breakfast,’ he said.

Another budgeting Aussie mum said she also freezed the convenience food, but was criticised for feeding her family ‘junk food’.

The woman posted in a budgeting for families Facebook group to share her tips.

“$1 hamburgers freeze well. Good four easy cheap lunch/dinner, getting my red meat intake,” the woman posted.

“That is a big problem these days – junk is cheaper than the healthy options and it’s very sad,” said another group member.

The post has since been deleted.
