Zara puts the squeeze on its new look logo and Twitter users aren’t happy

Clothing chain Zara has a new logo and Twitter users have been wondering what’s up with the squeeze.

Advertising agency Baron & Baron redesigned the logo. This is only the second time in the 45-year history of the Spanish high street store that it has updated its branding.

Some have likened the new look slimline logo to the evolving trends for small sizes in women’s fashion.

The new logo is already proving controversial, with fans redesigning it themselves. The new one consists of four capitalised letters in a serif font. However, the previous logo had ample room between the letters, creating a sense of space, but the new logo presses the Z A R A together, with the letter edges and serifs in a tangle. The new font also includes curves on the Z and R.
