A car owner returned to his vehicle in Portadown to find scratches on the bodywork.
The incident happened last month in the Iceland car park just off Meadow Lane.
The Mercedes ML250 was parked just after lunch time on September 20.
When the owner came back, having been away for around 25 minutes, he found scratches down the left hand side, covering several body panels.
These scrapes are more than just superficial damage to multiple panels, police say, and it will cost in the region of £1500 to repair.
Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 101. The reference number is 1045 of 20/09/18.
