A further 51 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Northern Ireland in the past 24 hours.
That’s according to the Department of Health’s Thursday update.
No new deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours.
The total number of confirmed positive cases here is now 6,556. Sadly, 559 people so far have died as a result of COVID-19.
The figures come as local lockdowns could be one possible strategy aimed at containing the spread.
