62 people in NI known to have coronavirus

Sixty two people in Northern Ireland are known to have coronavirus.

The number has just risen by ten.

The total number of tests completed in Northern Ireland is 1,338.

People with mild symptoms – a new persistent cough and/or fever – should stay at home and self-isolate. They will not require testing and will not therefore be included in testing totals.

Meanwhile, teaching staff are making preparations for online classes if or when the instruction is to close schools.

The Carphone Warehouse has also announced redundancies amid the crisis.

And fashion and homewares retailer Laura Ashley is set to become the first shop casualty of the coronavirus pandemic, placing around 2,700 jobs at risk.
