A man in his 50s was stabbed in the neck in a Christmas morning assault in west Belfast.
The man was walking between the Turf Lodge and Whiterock areas yesterday (December 25) just before 11am when he was allegedly verbally abused by three men. One of the men reportedly stabbed him in the neck.
The man was treated in hospital for injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.
Enquiries into the serious assault are continuing and police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have dashcam footage from the area to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 551 25/12/18.
