A new series of talks will be held throughout February and March at Belfast’s Clifton House.
The ‘Bricks and Mortals’ talks will examine the history and challenging preconceptions of North Belfast.
The unique heritage and diversity of North Belfast will also be explored.
Guest speakers include Dr Éamon Phoenix, Dr Patricia Marsh and Tony Macaulay.
Paula Reynolds of the Belfast Charitable Society said they are proud to support this latest series of talks in Clifton House.
“The Charitable Society has been a key player in North Belfast for over 266 years – therefore it is appropriate that this series, which challenges traditional narratives and highlights our shared history, is delivered in such an iconic building which has a place in the memory of so many individuals and families in North Belfast and beyond,” she added.
The series begins at Clifton House at 7pm on Thursday, February 7, running each Thursday until March 14. Tickets cost £5 each or you can purchase a series ticket for £25 which covers each of the six talks.
The ever-popular lecture series is supported by the Belfast Charitable Society, in partnership with the Department for Foreign Affairs and Trade.
