A safe containing jewellery has been stolen from a house in Coleraine.
The theft happened on Friday (April 5) at Ashbourne Park.
Police are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have noticed a car parked across the footpath on the Greenhall Highway.
Detective Constable Marty McCaw said police received a report around 12:15pm that entry had been forced to a house in the Ashbourne Park area and a safe containing jewellery had been stolen.
“I want to appeal to anyone who was in the area on Friday, in particular in the Greenhall Highway area and saw any suspicious behaviour between 10:30am and midday to call us. I’m particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have noticed a car parked across the footpath on the Greenhall Highway,” he said.
And he is asking anyone who has been offered jewellery for sale in suspicious circumstances to get in touch.
“ I would also appeal to anyone who is offered a safe or jewellery for sale in suspicious circumstances to call detectives in Coleraine on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 460 of 05/04/19,” he added.
Alternatively, information can be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
