Householders in Antrim, Newtownabbey and Carrickfergus continue to be the target of a large number of attempted telephone scams over the last few days.
The fraudsters claim that they are calling from BT.
They tell the householders that their internet will be cut off or that their WiFi has been infected with spyware. This is clearly not true and the advice is to hang up.
Residents with older or vulnerable relatives are asked to remind them never to give personal bank details to anyone. Numbers can also be blocked to prevent any more nuisance calls.
