Police have said reports circulating that dozens of teenagers were taken to hospital after apparently taking drugs at Belsonic in Belfast, were false.
Last night, posters on social media claimed that ingestion of drugs had lead to young people being taken to hospital.
Police quickly quelled the rumours.
We have been made aware of various reports circulating on social media about tonight’s Belsonic concert, PSNI South Belfast wrote.
This is NOT the case. Three people have been transferred to hospital for medical treatment for minor injuries/effects of alcohol.
If you are collecting people from the concert, please bear in mind the Ormeau embankment will remain closed to through traffic from the Ormeau Road junction, to the Ravenhill Road junction until midnight.
With large numbers of pedestrians exiting the area, road users should exercise great care.
