Two men have sustained stab wounds following a fight involving three men in Portrush last night (Thursday).
Police have made an arrest following the serious assault which occurred at Glentaisie Park.
Detectives are appealing for information following the incident which occurred shortly before 10:30pm.
Detective Inspector Peter McKenna said police received a report of an altercation between three men in the area.
One man, aged in his 30s, and one man, aged in his 20s, sustained stab wounds and both were taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening.
A man in his late teens was arrested close to the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and affray. He is currently in police custody.
Detective Inspector Peter McKenna added: “We would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have dash-cam footage from the area at the time of the altercation to contact detectives in Coleraine on 101, quoting reference number 2229 25/07/19. Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
