Three masked men escaped in a car with no licence plates after attempting to carry out a robbery at a business at Boucher Road in south Belfast.
The incident happened around 4.45pm on Friday 4 October near the junction of Apollo Road – however police have just released details.
The three masked men wearing tracksuit bottoms and hooded tops went to the front door of the premises, however the door was locked and they were unable to enter.
The men then got into a Grey Fiat car with no licence plates and made off along the Boucher Road in the direction of Broadway.
Constable Arthurs is asking anyone with information to come forward.
“I would appeal to anyone who saw anything suspicious to contact us on 101 quoting reference number 1409 of 04/10/19.
“Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime,” added Constable Arthurs said
