A group of vulnerable children were left shaken after the window of a bus was smashed in Rathcoole yesterday (Sunday).
Police say a youth allegedly threw an object at the vehicle, smashing the window and causing approximately £400 worth of damage.
Newtownabbey police are investigating the damage caused to the Translink bus in Derrycoole Way.
Police say the incident follows a number of other similar reports over the weekend.
And they are appealing to parents in the Rathcoole area to be aware of where their children are at all times. They say this type of antisocial behaviour must stop and that police will deal with any offenders robustly.
“The bus was carrying a number of vulnerable children who have been left very badly shaken up as a result of the incident. If you witnessed this incident, please contact police on 101 quoting PSNI Ref. 885 of 10/11/19,” said a police spokesperson.
