A house was ransacked at Severn Street in east Belfast on Monday evening.
It’s believed a sum of money was taken.
Detectives are appealing for information following the burglary.
Detective Constable Gourley said sometime between 5.55pm and 7.30pm, entry was gained to the house on Severn Street.
“The house was ransacked and it is believed that a sum of money was taken during the incident.
“Enquiries are continuing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference number 1679 of 2/12/19,” he added.
