Two men have been arrested after a man was attacked with what’s believed to have been bats or iron bars in an incident in Magherafelt last night.
Detectives are questioning the two men, aged 33 and 34, on suspicion of assault and aggravated burglary following the incident.
Shortly after midnight it was reported that the suspects forced their way into a house in Ashgrove Park. They reportedly attacked the 34-year-old man with weapons, believed to be bats or iron bars, before fleeing.
The two suspects were located by police a short distance away and arrested.
