49 new cases of COVID-19 in Northern Ireland

Another 49 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Northern Ireland.

There are no further deaths, according to the Department of Health.

Meanwhile, a participant in the Oxford University vaccine trial has said he is undeterred by a pause in the trial, which has been caused by an adverse reaction in one patient.

According to the Guardian, Joe Walters said he would continue to take part ‘in the name of science.’

He said he developed a very high fever after his first shot and was worried about a second injection.
