There’s been an arson attack on Mountain Road Gospel Hall in Kilkeel, which has caused scorch damage to a door.
The incident happened at the hall this morning (Sunday 6 December).
It’s believed that a flammable liquid was poured on the door.
Inspector McCullough said police received the report at around 1:30am.
“Enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident, to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 170 06/12/20. Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
