The cost of buying a carrier bag in shops in Northern Ireland has risen from 5p to 25p.
The levy came into force on Friday.
The aim of the charge is to discourage the constant purchase of carrier bags.
The charge applies to bags bought when you make purchases of groceries, clothes and items collected via click and collect venues.
