Three people escape injury in an arson attack in Antrim

Three people have escaped injury in an arson attack on a house in Antrim.

A fire was started at the front door of the house after a green rag was put through the letterbox.


It happened at Donore Crescent at around 4:40am on Monday morning (November 21).

Damage was caused to the front door.

The hall and living room areas sustained smoke damage.

Detectives in Antrim are appealing for information following the attack.

Detective Sergeant Lyttle said thankfully the three people in the property were unharmed.

‘We are treating this incident as arson with intent to endanger life.

“Our investigation is now underway and we are appealing to anyone who was in the area or who may have been driving past and captured dashcam footage to contact us on 101 quoting reference number 180 21/11/22.”
