This was the week that Hellmann’s enjoyed an unexpected taste of the Oscars.
The brand offered comedian Amy Poehler a lifetime supply of mayonnaise after she mentioned Hellmann’s during the Academy Awards.
Amy was presenting the award for Best Supporting Actress to Regina King for her role in ‘If Beale Street Could Talk.
“We won’t be doing awards during the commercials, but we will be presenting commercials during the awards,” Poehler said. “So if all the winners could please say, ‘Hellman’s Mayonnaise: We’re on the side of food,’ instead of speeches, that would be great.”
This led to a flurry of activity on social media….
