A Mid and East Antrim Alderman is appealing for people who have had an accident at a dangerous bend on the Ballymena Road in Carnlough (pictured) to get in touch.
Alderman Maureen Morrow is looking for people who in particular have been involved in incidents over the past three or fours years.
She says the bend has become an accident blackspot.
Alderman Morrow is currently working with the PSNI and the Department of Infrastructure to ascertain the cause of this surge in unexplained accidents.
“We did some work a few years ago when signage and the red SLOW surface was put in place but things have not improved,” she said.
Road Service require the following information:
Date and time of accident – weather/road conditions – direction of travel – number of vehicles involved – was it reported to police and if so were any of the emergency services at the scene?
“If you have photos of the accident it would be useful to see road conditions and where vehicles ended up. It is not highlighted as an accident blackspot area. This problem needs sorted before there is a fatality,” she added.
