Police in Belfast are appealing for the woman reportedly subjected to a ‘concerning incident’ at Ormeau to make contact with them.
Police say that around 4.10am they received a report that two people had been approached by a woman near Ormeau Park who disclosed she had been subjected to a ‘concerning incident.’
A male suspect was arrested by police a short time later. However the woman had left the scene prior to police arriving.
Detective Chief Inspector Heather Campbell said: “I am appealing to this woman to come forward and speak with us so we can fully understand what has taken place and provide her with whatever support she needs.
“We would also like to speak to other people who may have been in the Ormeau Road/Ormeau Park area between 2.30am and 4am this morning. Detectives can be contacted by calling 101, quoting reference 480 14/08/20.”
