A 34-year-old man has been arrested after a man’s body was discovered in a house in the Ballysillan area of north Belfast shortly before 11pm last night (Saturday 23 May).
Detectives from PSNI Major Investigation Team are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of the man whose body was found at the property in Oakley Street.
A post mortem examination will take place in due course to determine the cause of death, however police are treating the death as suspicious at this time.
Detective Chief Inspector Darren McCartney said the 34-year-old man arrested as part of the investigation remains in custody at this time.
“The investigation is at a very early stage and there are no further details available at this time,” he added.
