Ballyearl Leisure Centre will remain closed until next week.
It follows an electrical failure at the Newtownabbey facility last night.
The centre was evacuated and the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended.
All other leisure centres are open as normal.
The statement issued is as follows:
An electrical failure occurred in Ballyearl Leisure Centre last night and a full assessment has now been completed. Unfortunately, it is not possible to provide a temporary electrical supply and full remedial works are required.
For this reason, the centre is closed and the contractor will be on site to commence the remedial work. We anticipate that the centre will reopen next week.
Any affected customers with bookings/attending events have been contacted and alternative arrangements have been made.
Customer updates will be communicated via our social media, website etc. and updates will be provided to Elected Members over the weekend.
