There will be persistent and heavy rain in the morning and early afternoon.
However there is a ray of sunshine as the day promises to become brighter. There will be some showers. There will be strong to gale southeast winds for a time and the maximum temperature will be 12 °C.
Looking ahead to Tuesday and Wednesday, the days will be bright but rather cold and there will be a mix of sunshine and a few showers.
There will be a risk of night frosts.
