The body of a woman in her fifties was recovered from Waterfoot beach this morning.
Police say the circumstances surrounding the death of the woman are unknown.
However, according to police, the cause of death is not thought to be suspicoius.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of a woman, aged in her 50s, whose body was recovered from the water at Waterfoot Beach this morning.
“A postmortem examination will be carried out to establish the cause of the death which is not believed to be suspicious.”
