Books of condolence have opened in Mid-Ulster following Friday’s terror attack in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Chair of the Council, Councillor Sean McPeake has expressed his deepest sympathy with the people of New Zealand in the aftermath of the mass shooting incident.
He said: “Our thoughts are with those impacted by these terrible acts of atrocity, especially the 49 people who have lost their lives, the more than 20 people injured, and their loved ones. We also think of the people of New Zealand at this time, as the country comes to terms with the aftermath such terrible events bring”.
Books of Condolence are open in the Bridewell, Magherafelt, the Burnavon, Cookstown and in Ranfurly House, Dungannon for the people of Mid Ulster to show their support for the people of Christchurch, New Zealand.
