Crosskennan Lane Animal Sanctuary urgently needs help to fix a leaking roof in the barn.
The Co Antrim sanctuary is appealing for volunteers as well as materials to fix the roof as the current situation is proving to be hazardous for the horses.
“We have a terrible leak in our barn and need help to fix it ASAP! We think it may be a blocked gutter, but we can’t access the roof as we don’t have ladders high enough and it’s not safe up there for us. Can anyone help us out, or can you tag someone who can help us? We can pay for materials if some one could donate the time,” said a spokesperson.
The animal sanctuary says unfortunately this is one of the main thoroughfares in the sanctuary. The leak has also resulted in wasted shavings which are required to soak up the wet. The newly painted kitchen walls which are now dripping wet too, and the sanctuary would be very keen for help.
Storm Dennis has brought strong winds and heavy rain to Northern Ireland. There are some cancellations to flights to and from Dublin Airport today. Check with your airline for an update before travelling to the airport

We can pay for materials if some one could donate the time.Unfortunately this is one of the main thoroughfares in our sanctuary, and it’s the only way in or out of our indoor paddocks and stables for most of our horses, but it’s so wet and slippy it’s actually hazardous to take any horses through right now so causing us major problems!
