Pupils from Carrickfergus Academy are being reminded of the importance of staying safe around railway lines.
Over the next few weeks, pupils will be reminded about train safety, particularly when accessing the railway lines at Downshire Halt. And the school believes that parents have a role to play too.
Translink, Community PSNI Officers and the school are working together on this educational initiative.
A spokesperson for the school said CCTV is in operation and all incidents of individuals on tracks will be forwarded to the PSNI.
“We would ask for parental support in reminding our young people how to keep themselves safe when waiting for and travelling on trains,” added the spokesperson.
