The security alert in the Hawthorn Avenue area of Carrickfergus has now ended.
Police attended the report of a suspicious object in the area, however nothing untoward was located.
Inspector Michelle Adams said: “Residents have now returned to their homes, and I am keen to thank those who were inconvenienced for their patience and understanding.”
