A sum of money was stolen from a church in Groomsport on Sunday afternoon.
Damage was also caused to internal windows.
The incident happened sometime between 12:30pm and 5pm.
Police in Newtownards are appealing for witnesses.
“We are appealing for anyone who might have information which may assist the investigation to contact police at Newtownards station on 101 quoting reference number 1355 09/06/19,” said a spokesperson.
