Cocaine seized by police in Mid-Ulster found to be only seven per cent pure

Cocaine seized by police in Mid-Ulster has been found to be only seven per cent pure – and users are being warned that they could be ingesting anything from chalk to rat poison.

The PSNI says the other 93 per cent has been found to be a collection of ‘everything and anything.’

A man has been arrested on suspicion of possession and supply.

Now police are warning users not to foolishly fund drug dealers.

“A recent door rearrangement and search of a property recovered a large amount of cocaine. The male, who was arrested on suspicion of possession and supplying, is currently contemplating what to do with his likely forthcoming prison time.

“This individual proudly told those who would listen that his stuff was the real deal, the pure gear.

“Well the forensic report is back and the results are in!” said a PSNI spokesperson.

The PSNI said the purity was found to be seven percent, with the other 93 per cent, a collection of ‘everything and anything.’

“That’s the sort of muck dealers are selling for big money.

“If you are someone who’s foolish enough to fund those that want to destroy our communities, just keep thinking ‘7%’ as you hoover that rat poison/chalkdust combo up your snout,” warned a PSNI spokesperson.

Call the PSNI on 101.
