Convicted murderer 56-year-old Thomas McCabe has been returned to HMP Maghaberry.
He has been unlawfully at large since his licence was revoked in January 2018 following a number of breaches.
He was arrested in the Republic of Ireland on 26 August following PSNI appeals to trace his whereabouts.
He was extradited from the Republic of Ireland earlier today and returned to prison.
