The COVID-19 certification scheme for entry into hospitality and other venues comes into effect today.
The scheme requires people to show proof of double vaccination or a negative lateral flow test to be admitted to some venues and events.
On Friday, Health Minister Robin Swann said unlicensed premises would be exempt from the rule at this stage, prompting social media users to express concern and confusion.
The regulations still require assembly approval and a two-week bedding-in period will be allowed before fines are issued to venues that fail to comply with the rule.
Businesses owners say the scheme will cost extra and they have also expressed concerns.
